The History of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Wishing you all a most Blessed Our Lady of Guadalupe Day!!! Today is the anniversary of Her appearance to the Aztec peasant Juan Diego (now St. Juan Diego). Juan Diego was walking in the mountains on his way to Mass (he had converted to Catholicism six years before) when he heard a strange & beautiful music emanating from the top of a nearby hill. Tepayac Hill was long held sacred by the Aztecs & they associated it with the home of their earth goddess, Tonantzin, mother of the gods whose holy day was always celebrated by  the Aztecs near the winter solstice. Tonantzin’s temple had stood on this hill, it’s stairs long stained with the blood of war captives who had been sacrificed to Her. Torn down by the Spaniards in their massive effort to destroy all that was indigenous, now only the hill remained. Juan Diego would have been aware of the significance of this hill so I figure he went to check out this music thinking  the goddess Tonantzin may be putting in an appearance, but what he saw was not Her, but another Lady of Light, the beloved Virgin Mary.

What’s interesting about this is several things, the two that  immediately come to mind is that the Virgin Mary chose for Her appearance a spot already regarded as holy by the natives, plus it was a spot of tremendous violence and torture. Secondly, there was Her appearance, which as Juan Diego would shortly describe Her, matched the appearance of native Aztec (Nahuatl) women in color and facial features. So, the Virgin of Guadalupe is an apparition of color. This fact very seldom receives any mention.

When Juan Diego reached the music he heard a woman calling to him. “Juantzin, Juan Diegotzin.” The English translation is something like”Dear Little Juan,” & this would be the manner in which a Nahuatl woman would speak to a beloved child. As Juan Diego reached the top of the hill he saw a beautiful young lady who could not have been older than fourteen standing within bright light. He dropped to his knees. The entire hill shone with Her brilliance and the entire scene was overwhelming to Juan Diego. He thought this was Tonantzin, but as She spoke, She made no reference to the Aztec earth goddess. Instead, She identified Herself and Her request thusly:

“Know my son, my much beloved, that I am the  ever Virgin Mary, Mother of the True God who is the Author of life, the Creator  of all things, the Lord of heaven and earth, present everywhere. And it is my wish that here, there be raised to me a temple in which, as a loving mother to thee and those like thee, I shall show my tender clemency and the compassion I feel for the natives and for those who love and seek me, for all who implore my protection, who call on me in their labors and afflictions: and in which I shall hear their weeping and their supplications that I may give them consolation and relief. That my will may have its effect, thou must go to the city of Mexico and to the palace of the bishop who resides there, to tell him that I have sent thee and that I wish a temple to be raised to me in this place. Thou shalt report what thou hast seen and heard, and be assured that I will repay what thou dost for me in the charge I give thee: for I will make thee great and renowned. Now thou hast heard, son, my wish. Go in peace. . . employ all of the strength thou art able” (Catholicism dot org article, which discusses the Virgin of Guadalupe in full, but please keep in mind this is from a strongly Catholic point of view: http://catholicism.org/brmichael-guadalupe.html).

Juan Diego immediately agreed to go speak to the Bishop of Mexico. Upon his arrival he was ridiculed and mocked. Discouraged, Juan Diego reluctantly left the bishop’s palace and headed back home knowing he must find a way to convince the bishop that he spoke the truth.

The following week Juan Diego was once again walking through the mountains on his way to Mass. He again walked near Tepayac Hill and once again he saw the young lady. When she asked Juan Diego what had transpired, he told her. She told Juan Diego to return to the Bishop to relay Her request. He did so and although the Bishop did not think he was experiencing a hallucination and did see some lady, he still did not believe she was the Virgin Mary and sent Juan Diego away a second time.

It was the dead of winter in Mexico. Plants were not in bloom, and when Juan Diego saw the Virgin a third time she told him to go to the top of the hill where he would find many flowers in bloom. She instructed him to wrap some of the flowers in his tilma, a simple cloak made from woven cactus. This was common clothing for the indigenous people at the time. When he reached the summit of the hill, Juan Diego was amazed to see the ground covered in various blooming flowers, one of which was the Castilian Rose. The rose is sacred to the Holy Mother, as it is to numerous manifestations of the Goddess.

Upon returning to the Virgin with his tilma now full of flowers, She further instructed Juan Diego not to open the cloak until he was in the presence of the bishop once again. Knowing that roses do not bloom in winter, Juan Diego had renewed faith and knew that now the bishop would have no choice but to believe him and build a church to the Virgin Mary on that very hill where Tonantzin’s bloody temple had once stood.

When Juan Diego went before the bishop a third time, he was only granted the audience because a member of the bishop’s staff saw a flower within Juan Diego’s tilma. He attempted to snatch it away, but Juan Diego stopped him. He now had physical evidence in his possession and the bishop was told.

Juan Diego knew he had a bouquet of roses wrapped within his tilma, but as he unfurled his tilma in front of the bishop and his staff he was as stunned and amazed as everyone else in the room.

Not only did the roses fall out of JuanDiego’s cloak, but now they had multiplied. Rose petals fell across the floor, but that was not the only miracle.

As they all looked down at the tilma in amazement the once plain cloth was now decorated with what seemed to be a painting of the Virgin Mary Herself, in full color and dressed in the cloak and colors She wore when she appeared to Juan Diego on Tepayac Hill. The face was identical to the face of the young woman as seen by Juan Diego.

The bishop immediately ordered a church to be built in honor of the Virgin Mary who would be known in that area as the Virgin of Guadalupe. She is the patron saint of Mexico and no saint in Mexico or the Americas is revered more than She.

To this very day Juan Diego’s tilma is on display in the cathedral that now sits on the summit of Tepayac Hill. The tilma, made from simple cactus strands, never should have lasted beyond 20 years. To this day it is still in a pristine state and even miraculously survived an attempt to blow it up. Pilgrims from all over the world come to visit the shrine every year with visitors numbering at least 20 million a year.

My dad visited the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe in 1981. He had had several surgeries on both wrists and elbows for carpel tunnel syndrome, but still had so many problems that he could barely hold a glass to his lips without having to worry he could drop it. The doctors had done all they could and he was told he would have to deal with that condition for the remainder of his life. My dad was 45 at the time.

My dad always took great delight in telling the story of the Virgin of

Guadalupe every December 12th. It was a very special day in my house and this was how it always was because Dad had always been devoted to the Virgin Mary, long before he made the pilgrimage to Her shrine in the hope of a miraculous cure to his condition. We would light a candle to the Virgin of Guadalupe and everyone was allowed to open one present, which became known as our Virgin Mary present. My dad was uneducated and had been a laborer his entire work life. If he didn’t have full control of his hands and arms there would be no other way he could make a living to support his family. He knew this and was making the pilgrimage with tremendous faith, but also out of great desperation.

After his 1981 pilgrimage to the shrine my dad had his own little chapter to add to the story of the Virgin of Guadalupe. The way he told it was like this:

He went to the cathedral and like many others traveled the final 3 miles on his knees, 1 mile for the Father, 1 mile for the Son, and 1 mile for the Holy Ghost. All the while he prayed for a healing from the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Upon finally reaching the cathedral there were hundreds of people already inside so Dad had to wait quite a while to be able to reach the shrine in which the miraculous tilma of Juan Diego was now housed. As Dad knelt before the tilma to say one final prayer he felt a soft hand on his left shoulder. At this point of his recounting Dad would always cry.

Dad would tell us he knew better than to turn around. No one was that close to be able to touch him. He knew that was no ordinary hand. Then he heard a voice of a young woman. Dad said her voice sounded melodious, almost like music, but the musical notes formed words. The voice said, “Betito, mi nino, no te precupes.”

Dad’s name had been Roberto, Beto for short. If he had been a baby he would have been called Betito, or “Little Beto.” As with Juan Diego, the Virgin Mary had addressed my dad as if he was a beloved child of Hers, which of course we all are no matter our religion or spiritual beliefs. The phrase translates as, “My little Beto, my son, do not worry.”

Dad mentally thanked the Virgin of Guadalupe and just knew he had been healed. When he stood up he had no pain.

From that day forward my dad’s hands, wrists, and forearms never swelled up again. He had full range of motion again and never suffered any additional pain, which mystified his doctors with whom Dad was quick to share his experience. They all agreed that Dad’s situation was indeed a miracle and could be explained in no other way.

My family’s connection to that tilma was not yet over. Fast forward now to me as an adult living in Corpus Christi, Texas. Note that Corpus Christi translates as, “Body of Christ.” I am not particularly religious. I practice Wicca, but was raised Catholic. I also was never particularly close to the Virgin Mary, despite my father’s great devotion to Her. A photo of the tilma of Juan Diego was on tour and had come to the church in downtown Corpus Christi.

I don’t know what prompted me to go see the life-size photograph of the tilma. I think at first it was just curiosity. The original had somehow channeled healing energy that head healed my dad, after all. At the time I suffered from night blindness. I had very poor vision at night to the point that I couldn’t see well enough to drive, even on well lit roads with the headlights on.

I arrived at the church at around 5 PM and as I sat there praying in front of the photo I fell asleep. I am not the type to drift of and I don’t even take naps because when I do I always wake up with a headache. When I woke it was around 8 PM and a woman was telling me the church was about to close for the night.

When I walked out and realized it was pitch black outside I had a little panic attack. How was I going to be able to see to drive home? I thought about calling my husband to come pick me up and we’d come for my car the next day, but I was worried what could happen to my car overnight so I decided to risk it and just drive very slowly.

I drove all the way home mystified that I could see perfectly fine! The night blindness seemed to be gone and my vision was sharp, highly detailed, even on the few unlit roads I had to take in order to reach my house!

Ever since then I have not had one single instance of night blindness and I can drive at any time of day or night without having sight issues.

A miraculous cure? I tend to think so, although it was not one I had asked for at the time, but I still appreciate it to this day.

The Virgin Mary was to work another miracle for me, which I have blogged about previously. To summarize, my family went on a Mediterranean cruise in 2012 that began with 2 days of free time in Rome. Our hotel was a few blocks from the Basilica of Mary and for some strange reason my father-in-law, who is a born again Southern Baptist, was very anxious to visit the Basilica. I had a 39 year chronic knee condition and both of them were so badly swollen that I had next to no ability to flex them. Making the 3 block walk to the Basilica about killed me, and then I saw the stairs I’d have to climb to go inside.

In a strange way I knew that I was meant to go inside and that I had to inside NOW. Not tomorrow when my knees felt better from the 7 hour plane ride from Texas to Rome, but NOW. I felt compelled, I guess in a way just as my father-in-law felt compelled for whatever reasons.

My daughter had to help me up the many stairs to get inside the Basilica. Once inside I immediately asked someone where Mary’s shrine was located. I didn’t want to waste any painful steps walking around looking for it. I knew an image of Her was housed here that was purportedly painted by St. Luke while the Virgin Mary was still living(although I have since learned that is not the case).

I found the shrine and despite the tremendous pain it caused me, I knelt in front of it and prayed to the Virgin Mary for a miracle. I asked Her to please fix my knees JUST FOR THE TRIP. I knew the condition was chronic and I explained that once I returned home I didn’t care what happened, but to please allow me to enjoy the trip without any pain and I would be always grateful to Her for that favor.

I then stood up.

As I did so I realized when I straightened my knees they didn’t hurt. This surprised me, but the biggest surprise was when I looked down at my knees. Previously, both had been swollen to the size of softballs.Suddenly, they were normal size and looked like they had never had any problems whatsoever! I took a step toward my daughter, who walked forward to offer me her arm, then another, then I motioned for her to stop as I took a third step. Then I began to stomp on the hard marble floor as I said repeatedly, “there’s no pain! There’s no pain!” Then I began to say I had been healed. Others heard me. Soon there was a small crowd in front of Mary’s shrine sending up their own prayers to Her.

I often wonder how many miracles She handed out that day.

As for me, my knees didn’t bother me for the duration of the trip. I walked, climbed, jumped, and scampered all over the Mediterranean without any pain whatsoever. Upon returning home I figured, OK,here it comes. The pain and swelling will come back because I had only asked to be healed for the duration of the trip.

The healing took place on June 27, 2012. Today is December 12, 2018.

I have not experienced any additional pain or swelling in either knee since then, except for the aftermath of having smashed my left knee on the door of a kitchen cabinet last August, which –coincidentally or not – occurred on August 15th, the feast day of the Assumption of Mary. I think in a weird way it was just a reminder from Her that she could give and She could also take away. I hadn’t been paying her much attention for the 2 years prior and I think perhaps She was disappointed in me,so She sent me that important reminder, and I’ve returned to giving Her thanks daily for having cured my knees. It did take a year for that knee to heal from the injury, but it’s fine now and the other is none the worse for wear, all raise and gratitude to the Holy Mother.

How To Use Reiki Healing Codes

“Healing & Protective Rays of the Sun,” by Nefer Khepri (C) 2013. Infused with Reiki energy, as are all the images, this serves as the card back to my “Egyptian Lenormand” deck.

I’d like to thank my friend, Hazel Cameron Warren for sharing the following link and information with me and members of my Facebook group, Magickal Musings.

Hazel shared a link to a blog that I am now sharing here with all of you. For those of you who may not be aware, Reiki is a form of universal healing energy. In order to channel Reiki energy for others you need to undergo a process called an “attunement” during which the Reiki symbols are placed within your chakras, thus giving you the ability to also channel Reiki energy. There are four degrees: First, Second, Third (known as the Master Degree) and Fourth (known as the Master Teacher). I have been a Reiki Master Teacher since 1999.

The blog post shares a list and information of how to use numeric healing codes that have angelic and Reiki healing energy encoded into them. These are numeric sequences that have been channeled as being helpful for specific ailments and problems. Archangel Raphael and Holy Mother Mary are responsible for this system, according to the blog article by the Reiki Doc, as she calls herself.

I’ll share my personal experience with the Reiki codes and then the link so you can check this out for yourselves. Also, do you NOT have to be attuned to Reiki in order for the codes to work. The article states that. I cannot provide personal information about this since both my husband and daughter have undergone the attunement process.

The day I read the blog post I was suffering from cramping and tightness in my left hip muscle that extended down into my left thigh. It was fairly painful to sit, to walk, to get up, to sit down, just everything. Then I read the blog article and wrote down 3 codes: one for general pain, one for the hips and one for muscles, I believe.

The codes consist of 3 or more numbers separated by a space. Each number within a code can consist of a single digit, 2 or 3 digits or even more. The codes I used all began with a 2-digit number and also contained two 3-digit numbers. The blog post states that it is very important for the spacing between numbers of each code to be maintained when you write them down, so I repeat that here.

I used the following codes:

  • 23 31 443 – for chronic pain since I’ve had this issue a number of times
  • 13 81 478 – for stiff muscles
  • 26 51 329 – for Degenerative Joint Disease – just in case

I wrote the numbers on a slip of a Post-It-Note – the part that has the adhesive on it, then I stuck it down in my clothing against my hip where it basically begins to connect to my leg.

I did not even begin to channel the Reiki energy when I suddenly felt a great deal of heat in that spot. My first thought was, “ok, paper is insulating so that’s the heat I’m feeling,” but I was wrong because the heat quickly spread in the span of about a minute to encompass my entire hip, my thigh, and my lower back! One tiny slip of paper is not going to accomplish THAT much insulation. I was immediately impressed.

I decided not to consciously channel any Reiki and see what happened. In about 30 minutes the pain that had been with me for 2 whole days was suddenly completely gone. I had regained my flexibility and could move about freely.

I also suffer from a high pitch ring or whine in my left ear upon occasion. There is a code for that as well, so I wrote it on a new Post-It-Note and stuck that little strip of paper up against my head just behind my ear where the arm of my glasses rests. So the arm held the paper in place. I went about my business while my ear continued to be a nuisance. I was surprised about 30 minutes later when I suddenly noticed how quiet the house was. I then realized my ear was no longer ringing, but I have no idea exactly when the ringing stopped so I can’t report on how quickly that particular code worked for me. Again, I did not use Reiki for my ear, either. I wanted to see what the code could accomplish on its own.

I won’t pretend to understand these codes. I certainly do not. To be honest, I see no rhyme or reason in them; however, I can tell you one important thing. THEY WORK.

Give them a try and let me know how they work for you. Here’s hoping they help to bring each of you comfort and the type of healing you seek.

Ebola: Together We Can Heal

Healing event - Maui 2014
Along the Road to Hana, Maui, Hawaii. (C) Nefer Khepri, 2014.

I had another dream about the Virgin Mary last night. I don’t remember if She said anything to me. She was facing me, dressed in an iridescent blue robe and white gown. She was wringing her hands & had tears of blood all along her face. They were coming down & the blood was beginning to saturate the neckline of her robe. Although She didn’t say a word (that I can remember) I’m sure that dream is tied to the Ebola problem. If you remember, I dreamt about her a couple of weeks ago and She asked us all to pray & to pray often & hard, with emotion. You can read that blog post here if you missed it.

As a result of this new dream, combined with the first dream, and the current state of world affairs, I cannot help but think both are tied to the Ebola situation. Doctors and missionaries who have become infected with the virus are being shipped to their home countries for treatment. Those home countries (at least in Dallas, Texas) are not properly equipped to deal with Ebola so others have become infected. Already there has been a nurse infected in Spain who was treating a missionary and a nurse here in Texas (Dallas) who treated the man from Liberia who passed away last week.

Consequently, I have created a public event on Facebook asking everyone, no matter what your walk of faith may be, to please pray, send energy using any healing modality you know of, and light candles holding the intentions I have outlined below. I invite everyone to join the event on Facebook and I ask you to please share this blog post so others can also join in our efforts. The event is set for Saturday, but any time this weekend will be just wonderful.

The intention I feel we should all focus on should involve the following points:

  •  healing energy to those affected in West Africa
  •  healing energy to those affected who are in other areas of the world
  • protective energy to all healthcare workers treating Ebola patients
  • protective energy to all missionaries & other volunteers working with Ebola patients and caregivers
  • protective energy to all nations in order to prevent the worldwide spread of Ebola.

I truly believe if we make a concerted effort & we all focus on these main points every time we pray, send energy, or light a candle, that we can make a real difference.

Prayer to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots. Photo (C) Nefer Khepri, 2014.

My Facebook friend, Sally Nur, posted this prayer to her timeline this morning. It was one of the first things I read when checking my account. It is VERY powerful. Just reading it made my intestines feel like they were shaking! I am sharing it here in the form of a meme I created using a photo I took of a small shrine to Our Lady that was set into the cliff wall somewhere along the Road to Hana, Maui, Hawaii. This is a little shrine, about 2 feet long, that is set into a hole in the cliff wall along the Road to Hana. You can only view it going TO Hana. If you’re coming back then you have the opposite lane of traffic between you and the shrine. The twisty, narrow 2-lane road doesn’t allow you to look around well so coming back from Hana everyone would definitely miss it. My husband and I made the drive to Hana twice before & we never saw the shrine until our third trip this past June. I don’t know if the shrine is brand new or if it’s been there all along. I’m so glad we found it this time. My husband actually saw it first and backed up the car so I could take this picture. We risked being rear-ended on a curve along the cliff road that had about a 1,000 foot drop so I’m very glad I got this picture in one take!

I invite everyone to use this prayer if you so desire & to join us in our global effort to find a cure for Ebola. Already too many lives have been lost.

Virgin Mary Appearances, Visitations and Dreams

When the Virgin Mary appears She always has a message to deliver. The Virgin Mary has always been very active in the spiritual realms as She focuses on the well-being of humanity as a whole. Religion and race do not matter to Her.  There is a long history of what are termed Marian Apparitions that go back far into recorded history, the first being recorded by Saint James the Apostle (aka St. James the Great) in Zaragoza, Spain in AD 39.  This is the earliest report of a Marian apparition and it occurred PRIOR to the Virgin Mary’s Assumption, meaning, she was still in physical body at the time. The Marian Apparition most well-known in the Americas is that which was recorded in 1531 by Juan Diego in Mexico (see below). The most well-known of Marian Apparitions in Europe occurred in Lourdes, France and Fatima, Portugal.

Today, the Virgin Mary is still active here on the earth plane. She visits people as apparitions, She speaks to us through an inner voice, in dreams, and She has been known in recent times to cause Her holy image to appear in the strangest of places:

  • Statues that weep. The statues are located in both churches, private homes & even graveyards
  • Food (yes, like Jesus in a tortilla, the Virgin Mary has at times blessed food with Her image)
  • Trees – Her image has been known to appear in the bark
  • Clouds
  • Water
  • Smoke
  • Roses – a friend of mine went on a pilgrimage to her shrine at Medjugorje, Yugoslavia and photographed a rose bush in bloom in WINTER time outside the chapel in which Mary was appearing to several local inhabitants. At the time, everyone in her group remarked how unusual that was. Upon returning home and having her photos developed we were shocked to see the face of Mother Mary within the petals of one of the roses – clear as day! This was long before the days of Photoshop or home computers.

And now, Saturday in Texas Mother Mary decided to manifest

The Virgin of Guadalupe appearing in a coffee spoon. Copyright Bernadette Krause, 2014. Used with permission.

Her holy image within a few drops of remaining coffee on a spoon. Something so insignificant and incredibly mundane, yet there She is. This photo was taken by my friend, Bernadette Krauss. She has a Virgin of Guadalupe candle next to the coffee maker in her kitchen. She made a cup of coffee, set the spoon down, and when she returned she noticed the image that had formed within the bowl of the spoon.

Can there be any doubt that this is an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe? Her history is one of the most startling of all the Marian Apparitions because she left behind undeniable physical evidence that has never been debunked despite a number of attempts over the centuries.

The Virgin Mary appeared as a beautiful woman surrounded by a golden light to an Aztec (Nahautl) Indian peasant named Juan Diego in 1531 on the hill of Tepeyac outside of Mexico City. She told Juan Diego to go see the bishop and have him build a shrine in Her name on that very spot. Juan Diego did as he was told and was laughed out of the room for his trouble. Another day he walked along the base of the same hill and saw the glorious woman again. This time She told Juan Diego to remove his cloak and lay it on the ground. He did so. She then instructed him to pick up his cloak and without opening it take it to the bishop and she said then he will build the church.

Juan Diego did as he was told. When he unfurled his cloak in the presence of the bishop and other dignitaries everyone was stunned to see it was full of roses of all colors in full bloom. It was winter at the time in Mexico. Roses do not bloom in winter. Once they recovered from the shock of the roses they were in store for an even greater surprise for there, painted into the very fabric of Juan Diego’s cloak was the image revered by Mexicans and Catholics the world over and known today as the Virgin of Guadalupe.

The cloak has been analyzed and it has been determined the pigments were not of paint that existed at the time. This is not an image that some contemporary incredibly gifted artist painted on the peasant’s cloak. Furthermore, recent computer analysis of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe had revealed within the PUPILS of Her eyes a smaller image. The image is of the bishop, Juan Diego and the dignitaries who were present in the room when Juan Diego unfurled his cloak exposing the miraculous roses. It is as if Her eyes on the cloak were a camera that captured the entire scene as it unfolded.

Needless to say, the bishop of Mexico City ordered the church built. Today it stands as a cathedral and thousands visit it in pilgrimage annually.

I was unaware of Bernadette’s miraculous photo until this morning when she shared it to her timeline on Facebook and to my Magickal Musings group, also on Facebook. She has kept the spoon next to her candle of the Virgin of Guadalupe since. Also, after sharing her pictures with us in the group she found an angel feather at her feet when nothing had been there before. This is just more validation that the pictures and the message are real and come from the One known as the Queen of Heaven and Queen of the Angels.

Now, what struck me is this. Images of the Virgin Mary are almost always accompanied by a message from Her. Bernadette had no message, just the image, BUT, last night, even before I saw Bernadette’s photo, I received a message in a dream.

I dream of holy figures, but just once in a very great while. Usually, I dream of the Archangel Michael and he will give me guidance that then helps greatly with a client’s case. I have never dreamt of the Virgin Mary, to my conscious knowledge, until last night.

Within the dream is the message I feel needs to be shared along with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Bernadette’s coffee spoon. This message is VERY important and crucial for the times in which we currently live so I hope sincerely you all take it to heart and do what is asked of you by the Virgin Mary Herself.

In my dream I’m in a place of all white light. I can’t see anything but white above, below & all around me. I can’t tell where the walls are, or if there are any, or a ceiling. A light shines from everywhere. I then can see 2 figures walking towards me – a very tall male and a petite woman. As they get closer I realize it is the Archangel Michael, whom I have seen in dreams before, and the Virgin Mary.

Michael doesn’t speak. Mary does all the talking and she does so telepathically. I never see her lips move & I can’t be sure if I was speaking back to her verbally or telepathically.

This is the message Mary shared with me. Although I use quotation marks it is a paraphrase since I can’t recall Her exact words, but have retained Her meaning clear as a bell. Her message is as follows:

My child, the time has come. The time I have always foreseen. Forces of evil have taken over one of the Eastern religions. You know the one. The one that uses terror to subdue, subject, and murder, all supposedly in the Name of God. This is evil. It is not religion. It is evil created by the hearts and minds of men who are warped.

“I have always admonished children of God to pray. Pray for peace. Pray for the earth. Pray for one another. Pray for the angels that they have strength to fight against darkness and to always prevail. Now I am no longer asking. I am TELLING YOU TO PRAY. PRAY EVERYDAY. PRAY HARD. PRAY WITH EMOTION.

“What you fear as a possible World War III is brewing now. It brews due to the warped souls of those whom you call terrorists. It brews in the minds of militant Muslims who have corrupted the true and peaceful purpose of Islam into one of hatred, murder and eventual world domination. That is what they wish for – WORLD DOMINATION. Nothing less will suit their dark purposes.

“So pray, my child. Ask your family, your friends, all to pray. Pray for peace. Pray for the hearts and minds of the militants to open up to the TRUE message of God the Father, who would never wish for harm to befall any of His children no matter their religion or race. Pray now like you have never prayed before.”

That last line, “Pray now like you have never prayed before,” that’s a DIRECT QUOTE. Those are the only words I can be certain I recall verbatim. And now She has appeared in Bernadette’s spoon. So there is the physical manifestation and now you have just read the message. There is always an important message tied to all of the Virgin Mary’s physical manifestations. We all need to pray and we all need to make this a DAILY PRACTICE, SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.

I felt a great sense of urgency in the dream. Also, as I was hearing Her message my left ear began to ring like crazy in the dream. This was a chronic problem with me for several years. I finally decided to pray to the Virgin Mary for a healing since She had graciously permanently healed my knees when we visited Her basilica in Rome in 2012 (see that blog post here). My ear stopped ringing after I prayed to her several months ago and has not rung since; however, last night DURING THIS DREAM it resumed ringing to the point it woke me up. I think the ringing is coming from Her making sure I share the message. So I share it here.

I originally shared this dream earlier today in my Magickal Musings group. Upon posting it to the group’s wall, that very minute the post went up the ear ringing reduced in volume by 50%! I was stunned. Meanwhile, in discussing the matter with Bernadette  her ear was also ringing. We both took that to mean Mother Mary wished for us to combine our messages and share them. When I announced in my group I was going to blog about the entire situation suddenly the ringing in my ear completely stopped! It was as if someone simply flipped a switch from “on” to “off.” Since I decided to blog about this I have not experienced any ear ringing while this morning it was so awful it was almost at the point that it was making my ear ache.

Do I think that my dream, the image that appeared in Bernadette’s spoon, and the ear ringing  are all coincidences? NO, I do not. Although my dream occurred 2 nights after the holy manifestation in the spoon, since Bernadette and I have actually met in person, I truly believe the manifestation & the dream are connected and that these messages were meant to be delivered together.

So, as the Virgin Mary has asked you, I am now also asking you. Regardless of your faith and spiritual beliefs, if you believe in a higher power, PLEASE start praying TODAY. Pray every single day, several times a day. Pray for the forces of good to overcome the forces of evil. Pray for the hearts and minds of men to open and be receptive to the Light that is attempting to enter in order to cleanse their hearts and souls. Pray that humanity comes to its senses before it is too late.

I also ask that you all share this blog post. The more who see it and heed Mother Mary’s message, the more good that will be done in a concerted effort by us all.

Finally, coincidentally or not, I just realized my friend Bernadette shares her name with Saint Bernadette, who was the young nun who witnessed and spoke with the apparition of the Virgin Mary in Lourdes, France!

Also, I was raised Catholic and my birth name is Mary. I was named after the Virgin Mary. Coincidence also? I think not. What do you think?

Wishing you all many blessings,

Nefer Khepri, PhD., R. M-T.

Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe: 12/12/13

ImageToday is the Feast Day of the Blessed Our Lady of Guadalupe, a symbol of Hope, Love & Healing for the Americas. For those of you who are unaware, the Virgin Mary appeared as mestiza (mixed Aztec & Spanish blood) woman on a hill sacred to the earth mother of the Aztecs. A poor peasant, Juan Diego had the vision. The Virgin blessed Juan Diego & told him to tell the bishop to build a church to Her on that hill. Juan Diego went to speak to the bishop & was laughed at. The next day he walked by the hill & once again saw Our Holy Mother. When She asked what the bishop said, Juan Diego told her. The Virgin Mary had Juan Diego take off his cloak and roll it up with instructions to not open it until he was again with the bishop. Juan Diego obeyed. When he opened up his cloak for the bishop many fresh roses fell out onto the floor of the church. Everyone knew this was a true miracle since it was the middle of winter & flowers were not in bloom. The bishop had the church built and within it is a painting of Our Lady on a cloth, that many believe is Juan Diego’s cloth and the image there was imprinted by none other than the Holy Mother Herself.

I can’t speak to the validity of who created the image, but I can tell you I saw a life-size PHOTOGRAPH, not the real thing, when it was on tour when I used to live in Corpus Christi, Texas. I suffered from a condition known as “night blindness” & was unable to drive at night. As I prayed in front of the photograph of the original painting I asked to be healed from the night blindness. Then a strange feeling came over me & I actually fell asleep in the pew. I had gone there in the afternoon and when I woke up it was dark outside. I was in a near panic knowing I now had to drive home in the dark. However, when I got outside I could see PERFECTLY FINE, and was STUNNED. While I slept I had been healed! I have not suffered from night blindness since.

I wasn’t just healed from the night blindness on that day.  I had no intention of visiting the image when it toured.  My dad had always been devoted to the Virgin Mary & he would tell me how much She helped him with all sorts of problems & that his prayers were always answered.  He would often try to get me to pray to Her, but I just didn’t feel a connection, but on that particular day I had a STRONG desire to go see the image & pray before it.  I am a non-practicing Catholic, and until that day I had not set foot in a Catholic church in 12 years.  I believe the Virgin Mary placed that desire to see Her image within my heart knowing I would then ask Her for a healing.  She not only healed me from the night blindness that day, she restored my faith, which is truly the greatest healing of all.

Snce then, the Holy Mother has blessed me many times over and granted me the greatest healing of all in Her basilica in Rome where I was healed of my 39-year old chronic knee problem, which you can read about here.

I share this with you all to help edify you and your faith in a Higher Power, whomever that Higher Power may be for They are ALL manifestations of The One. Here also is Pope Francis’s message for today, which he delivered yesterday via Vatican Radio.

I wish you all Peace, Healing, & Love in the Name of Our Holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Christ. AMEN.

POPE FRANCIS: “Tomorrow is the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas. I would like to greet all my brothers and sisters on that continent, and I do so thinking of the Virgin of Tepeyac.

Image“When Our Lady appeared to Saint Juan Diego, her face was that of a woman of mixed blood, a mestiza, and her garments bore many symbols of the native culture. Like Jesus, Mary is close to all her sons and daughters; as a concerned mother, she accompanies them on their way through life. She shares all the joys and hopes, the sorrows and troubles of God’s People, which is made up of men and women of every race and nation.

“When the image of the Virgin appeared on the tilma of Juan Diego, it was the prophecy of an embrace: Mary’s embrace of all the peoples of the vast expanses of America – the peoples who already lived there, and those who were yet to come. Mary’s embrace showed what America – North and South – is called to be: a land where different peoples come together; a land prepared to accept human life at every stage, from the mother’s womb to old age; a land which welcomes immigrants, and the poor and the marginalized, in every age. A land of generosity.

That is the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and it is also my message, the message of the Church. I ask all the people of the Americas to open wide their arms, like the Virgin, with love and tenderness.” ~ Pope Francis
