Why order a Lenormand reading from me?

I have been reading Tarot cards since 1976, and Lenormand cards since 2009, but I am the great-granddaughter of a Mexican curandera (white witch & healer) who read playing cards. She had a large clientele in Michoacán, Mexico, some of whom would walk for as long as two days to consult with her. I believe I inherited most of my abilities from her. My aunt, who was her grand-daughter, read Lenormand cards and taught me what she knew, which sparked my interest, then a few years later I took it upon myself to really learn the system so I could provide Lenormand readings to my clients.

In 2014 Schiffer Books mass published my own Lenormand deck, the multi-award-winning Egyptian Lenormand. I am both the artist and author behind The Egyptian Lenormand. I channeled every card image from the Egyptian gods with Whom I work, with the sole exception of The Child card. Then I wrote the 176-page accompanying guidebook in such a way that the book itself could serve as a good introductory Lenormand course to people who do not have easy access to an Lenormand instructor.

I am very proud to say that The Egyptian Lenormand is the 2015 recipient of the International Tarot foundation Carta Award for Best Lenormand Deck of the Year, and also the Carta Award for Best First Work for an Illustrator. The Egyptian Lenormand was also recognized by The American Tarot Association and Tarot Reflections, their publication, as the Best Lenormand Deck of 2015.

How is Lenormand different from tarot?

Basically, a Lenormand reading will tell you like it is. A Lenormand reading is clear, concise, and full of details about what you can expect.  A tarot reading, on the other hand, offers you more in terms of advice  and general guidance, especially of a spiritual nature.  Deciding on  which type of reading to order depends on the type of information  you are seeking.

The Tarot consists of 78 cards:  22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana  (upon which our modern playing cards are based upon).  The Tarot  deals with universal archetypical forces at work in our lives (Major  Arcana cards) that affect our mundane lives in various ways (Minor  Arcana cards).

The Lenormand, on the other hand, has only 36 cards in total.  These cards are associated with particular playing cards of the modern  playing deck and many Lenormand decks will include a small picture  insert of their corresponding playing card.  Cards are named with  such titles as:  The Rider, Clover, Ship, Bouquet, Ring, Moon, and  Cross.  The images are very simple.  For instance, The Book card is  just that – a picture of a book.  The Ring is a picture of a ring, and so  on.

Meanings of the cards are held to a time-honored tradition from which true Lenormand readers do not vary.  For example, The Ring represents commitment.  Paired with other Lenormand cards in a reading this commitment may be a business partnership, an engagement or a marriage.  The surrounding cards will tell the reader what type of commitment The Ring is talking about.

Card combinations in any Lenormand reading are of paramount importance.  Cards will take on different meanings when paired with other cards, as in the above example of The Ring.  In any Lenormand reading that I do I offer the traditional interpretation of the card, then I look closely at all nearby cards and discuss the meanings of all the various card combinations.  This is how the Lenormand provides you with the full picture of any type of situation or question.

What sort of questions can I ask for a Lenormand Reading?

The Lenormand can address any type of question.  My only restriction is a personal one.  I do not read on matters of health, however, due to The Tree card that represents health (also stability & longevity) in the Lenormand system, Health will be generally discussed for any reading in which The Tree appears, but I remind everyone NEVER EVER use readings or candle work in place of consulting a doctor or other health care professional.  Also, please do not come to me with questions about your health.  I personally do not do health readings.

I have had people ask questions about their relationships (romantic & otherwise), their children and other family members, their pets, spiritual growth, dreams, careers/jobs, and so on.  I have so far not run across any topic that the Lenormand cannot handle in a reading.

When coming to the Lenormand with a question, just as with Tarot, the same rule holds:  the more specific your question is the more direct and specific your reading will be.

How is a Lenormand Reading?

That depends on the type of spread I am using for your reading (a spread is the configuration in which I lay out your cards for a reading whether it’s with Lenormand or Tarot cards).

I have several reading spreads you can choose from for your Lenormand Reading at various price levels.

The largest Lenormand Reading is the Grand Tableau (French for “Great Table”), which uses all 36 cards in the Lenormand deck.  There are a number of methods for reading the Grand Tableau spread.  I start with the four corner cards that give you a good sense of the direction in which your reading will go, then I begin with the rows.  I interpret all eight cards in each row, plus their card combinations.  Once I’m done with the Rows in your Lenormand Reading I continue on with reading the cards in each Column taking into account their card combinations as well.  For a Lenormand Reading the card combinations are crucial to a complete understanding of what the cards are trying to tell you so I always place a lot of emphasis on card combinations when doing a Lenormand Reading.

Once I am done with the Rows and Columns of your Grand Tableau Lenormand Reading I continue on by examining particular “key cards,” which are cards related to areas of life in which we are all interested:  Ring (marriage & partnerships), House (home & family), Man or Woman (your significant other), Fish (money), Fox (work or self-employment), Tree (Health), Heart (Love), and so on.  For your Lenormand Reading I not only tell you where the key cards are located, but I read all the cards surrounding them to the left, the right, above, below, and at all four diagonals in order to give you a clear picture of all the aspects influencing that part of your life.

A Grand Tableau Lenormand Reading will cover up to 1 year of time and you can ask of the cards up to four questions, and the questions do not have to be in any way related to one another since all areas of life are examined for a Lenormand Reading.  A typical reading will run approximately 20 – 30 pages. I recently completed a Lenormand Reading that ran for 44 pages.  Depending on how the cards fall in your reading, some people get even more information out of their Lenormand Reading than others.

It takes me approximately 2 weeks to do a Grand Tableau Lenormand Reading for someone.  I have a special table that fits the cards exactly and I leave your reading out in view so every time I go by the table if I see a new pattern I make note of it and include that interpretation in your Lenormand Reading.

I have another 36-card Lenormand spread, the Annual Forecast Lenormand reading, that is not as involved as the Grand Tableau because the cards in that spread are read in sets of 3 cards each and the Annual Forecast Lenormand reading does not contain diagonals.  It will also cover up to one year of time like the Grand Tableau Lenormand Reading.

There is also a shorter Lenormand Reading that includes only 9 cards, but it can only address one specific question.  This is called the Square of 9 Lenormand reading.

Lastly, I also offer a very simple 5-Card reading, the Line of 5 Lenormand reading, that will address a single question.

You have four readings to choose from at three different prices. It would be a pleasure to do a Lenormand reading for you. Please take a look at my prices below.

All readings include full color jpg images of the cards you receive. Your reading arrives in email as an attached PDF that has been scanned by Norton Anti-Virus softward prior to sending for the protection of your computer.
