I wish you all a very joyous holiday season. As my way of celebrating, I offer you a 15% discount off of ALL Services at my site, Magickal-Musings.com.
My holiday sale runs from today through Jan. 30, 2017! This also applies to my visionary art for those of you who have been saving up. I won’t run this discount again until next Yule/Christmas time 🌲
🌲 TO ORDER:
Email me at IsisRaAnpu@gmail.com FIRST with what you’d like to order. I will send you a PayPal invoice that will reflect the 15% discount. The payment links at my site are NOT at the discount price because this offer is open ONLY to my followers.
🌲 All orders will be filled according to the following criteria:
~ ☃ Enchantments: spells are timed according to the proper lunar phase & best day of the week based upon your magical intentions
~ Tarot & Lenormand card readings are scheduled on a first-come/first-scheduled basis. Please keep in mind I always book up 2 weeks in advance for readings so if you do order one, there will be at least a 2-week wait no matter what time of year you order
~ Visionary Artwork: takes time, it’s all channeled so it comes through when it comes through. Usually, a piece takes me 6 – 8 weeks, but once in a while they can take longer so please be prepared for that possibility when ordering a Soul Portrait, Manifestation Mandala, & Spirit Guide Portrait.
NOTE: I do not have a page at my site for Spirit Guide Portraits. If you would like one, they are 9 x 12″ with the image itself measuring 7 X 10″. The price is $125USD + shipping, so your final cost will be $106.25 + shipping. These also tend to take me 6 – 8 weeks to complete.
I do have signed & activated copies of my Egyptian Lenormand available at the link above ready to ship & it will arrive in time for Christmas within the continental USA if ordered by Thursday, noon CDT, December 15th. Overseas shipping takes 10-21 days.
The Turtle Lenormand is in its second printing & currently has severely limited availability. Please email me at IsisRaAnpu@gmail.com if you’d like to order. It is $30, plus shipping. I ship worldwide.
Guidance & Inspiration From the Angelic Realm (GIFAR) is open for pre-order. Please visit my deck’s blog for the creation story of my first oracle deck as well as some sample readings. There is also an ordering page at the blog.
My latest deck creation is The Turtle Lenormand. It is a traditional Lenormand, but has at least one turtle depicted on every card. Some turtles are realistically rendered while others are whimsical. The cards are all traditionally titled and work well with the traditional Lenormand interpretations. Directionality in reading the Clouds, Scythe and one version of The Book card have been maintained. I created The Turtle Lenormand simply because I have always loved turtles.
I had two turtles when I was little whom I assumed were a boy and a girl so I named them Mickey and Minnie. I’ve always really resonated with turtles and the neighborhood kids’ nickname for me was “Turtle.” I think it was seeing Gamera when I was 9 that really cinched my love of turtles.
If you have never seen a Gamera movie, treat yourself sometime. They are done in the same vein as the Godzilla movies (kaiju). Yes, they are cheesy and somewhat campy, but they’re so much fun. Gamera is a giant prehistoric turtle in hibernation under the arctic ice when he is awoken by atomic blasts. Thus begins a movie franchise that has culminated in 12 films with rumors of a 13th film in the works (please, please, please!).
What kid wouldn’t love a flying turtle (yes, Gamera is so awesome that he FLIES and he has jet rockets!!). In addition to flying, Gamera can breathe fire and he loves children. One of his official titles is “Friend of All Children.” He’s a good guy. No wonder I have always loved turtles!
My first Lenormand deck, The Egyptian Lenormand, combined my two great loves: the ancient Egyptian civilization (a love that began also when I was 9 ~ coincidence??) with the Lenormand system of cartomancy. I figured for my second foray into deck creation why not combine my love of Lenormand with my love of turtles? Plus, I wanted a deck of nothing but turtles for myself, just as I had wanted an Egyptian-themed Lenormand for myself.
Hence, The Turtle Lenormand was conceived. The images first took form as a bunch of badly scribbled sketch-ideas I drew late one night when I was suffering from insomnia, and now those ideas have taken final form into drawings and card images.
All images contained within The Turtle Lenormand are created on mixed media card stock. It’s a slightly heavier card stock than bristol smooth or bristol vellum and better allows for the blending of watercolor pencils without paper warp. I use a variety of artistic mediums ranging from polychromos pencils, watercolor pencils, Caran D’Ache watercolor crayons, to Copic Markers, acrylic paints, and fine line black Copic and Sakura drawing markers. I prefer to have a variety of artistic mediums at my disposal because each gives the piece a different look and feel.
The Turtle Lenormand is available for immediate shipping worldwide. It is is a Special Limited Edition consisting of ONLY a 50 copy print run. Once these are gone I have no plans to reprint. Currently, only 28 copies remain in stock.
The Turtle Lenormand is accompanied by additional cards (Dedication Card, Artist’s Bio Signature Card, and an extra version of The Rider, Clouds & Book). The Special Edition also comes with an extra turtle-ly surprise created specifically for my project by polymer clay artist, Susan Keen Krontz. The surprise is your own Turtle Friend that comes in its own pouch. There is one Turtle Friend per deck and no two are exactly alike. The deck is housed in its own pouch as well.
The Turtle Lenormand is an Art Deck. What that means is this: every image was created by hand. Drawn by hand, colored by hand, and then tweaked by hand. The only time a computer becomes involved in the process at all is in the final scanning of the images into my computer so I can then send the images off to the printer. Each image requires AT LEAST 10 hours of combined research and drawing time. The process of coloring each image ranges with the complexity of the image. For example, The Tree card took me about 10 hours to complete because it’s a pretty simple design; however, The Clover card, which is more complicated, took me several days that combined for a total of 43 hours.
In retrospect, as I think back to my childhood of watching the Saturday afternoon Creature Feature shows, and later while still growing up in the Chicagoland area, watching the Son of Svenghouli, I’d like to thank both of these shows for airing those old cheesy Japanese monster movies. We all are very familiar with the great Godzilla, but if it weren’t for the odd airing now & then I never would have heard of Gamera The Great. Any turtle who has rocket jets that allow him to fly through the air at great speed requires “The Great” as his epithet, wouldn’t you agree?
Thank you, Gamera. Without you this turtle and Lenormand mash-up never would have occurred.
I also have signed & activated copies of my Egyptian Lenormand (Schiffer Books, 2015 edition) available at http://egyptianlenormand.com. By “activated” that means I take your copy through the Activation Ceremony (which is fully explained in the accompanying guidebook) so that your deck arrives ready to be used not just for divination, but also for healing and magical manifestation, which makes my Egyptian Lenormand unique among Lenormand decks.
Thank you for following my blog & feel free to leave comments.
I have always had a fondest for the poetry of William Blake. Sunday, as I worked on a Soul Portrait for Lydia, the words to the first verse of this poem kept running through my mind. You see, Lydia has a shy tiger who was trying to hide from me as I was channeling the symbols for her Soul Portrait. However, as I was beginning to commit the final drawing to card stock before adding the color, the tiger poked through shyly. I sensed that he wished I hadn’t seen him.
Now I make it no secret that I have a very difficult time drawing animals. So when I saw the tiger I sighed. Perhaps that’s why the tiger had been working so hard to hide from me. Perhaps somehow it knew if he showed up he would only end up giving me a hard time. However, I always strive to draw every symbol that comes through in a Soul Portrait because every single one is important and has bearing on the meaning and interpretation for the rest of the symbols.
There was no way I could even consider excluding the tiger just because he would be difficult for me to draw.
So, I sat at my table for about two hours struggling with Mr. Tiger as he looked at me from the ethers, his eyes indeed burning bright.
I was sketching in his nose, then his markings when I became a bit frustrated at how it was going. So at that point I decided to focus on his eyes. I had the TV on with the Chicago Cubs game on in the background (in case you’re wondering, they lost. AGAIN!).
As I focused on the tiger’s right eye there was a commercial break and the soundtrack to the first commercial of that particular break at that particular moment in time was the song, “The Eye of the Tiger.”
I kid you not! I stopped what I was doing, focused on the commercial, then I just began to laugh. I would love for someone to explain to me what the odds are of THAT particular commercial coming on at THAT particular moment in time with THAT particular song as I worked on drawing the tiger’s right eye. I’m sure they can’t even be measured, they are THAT astronomical.
I got over it, giggling to myself as I continued attempting to draw Mr. Tiger. I struggled for another hour over him alone when, during another commercial break, whom do I hear?? My beloved TV friend from childhood, Tony the Tiger! Surely you remember Tony from the old Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes commercials (don’t ever forget, “they’re GGRRREAT!”)? There was Tony, being brought back to the ad campaign in recent years exclaiming his famous line while there I was finishing my work on Mr. Tiger.
Okay, even I must admit this was WEIRD. Again, what are the odds???
Perhaps Mr. Tiger suddenly got over his shyness upon being seen. Perhaps he went to great lengths to let me know he appreciated me picking up on his presence for Lydia’s Soul Portrait. I may never know, but one thing I do know.
The timing of those two commercials was beyond coincidental and were downright freaky, but also quite funny.
Don’t you all know that Spirit has a wonderful sense of humor? Listen and watch for it. The sense of humor is there. Subtle, but it’s there all the same.
Many of my clients and friends on Facebook have asked me over the years where my name comes from. For those of you who have been my clients for more than five years and those who pay attention to their PayPal receipts when they place an order, you all will know that Nefer Khepri is not my legal name. I run my business under my spiritual name for two reasons.
1) Isis told me to (more on that in a second); and,
2) I live in Texas, which is part of the American Bible Belt, jam packed full of Christian Fundamentalists and born-again Southern Baptists. People here, for the most part, are sadly narrow minded and extremely judgmental. So I have to keep what I do for my business to myself. This saddens me greatly at times.
Now, on to how I got the name of Nefer Khepri and it’s meaning. Until now I have never shared this experience publicly before. I hope you all enjoy it.
My name was given to me. It was in 1997 and I was the assistant manager at a new age shop in Corpus Christi, TX where we lived before moving to Houston. I was receiving a healing from a colleague at the time and I went into this very long, highly detailed vision. I believe I was astral traveling. At one point I ended up being taken by an angel to a chamber below the Great Pyramid at Giza. It opened to a circular chamber with a rose-quartz sarcophagus in the center. Along the walls were huge 10 – 12 feet high paintings of various gods.
As I was looking at the paintings with an archaeologist’s eye (that’s the field in which I have my formal education), I heard a sound behind me. I turned & there were Isis, Osiris & Anubis. I didn’t know what to do so I fell flat on my face with my arms out-stretched. I heard Isis say, “arise, my child.” So I did. Then all 3 of them pointed to the sarcophagus. I walked up next to it, looked inside and was like, “yep, that’s a sarcophagus alright.” They kept pointing and I figured out they wanted me to get IN the sarcophagus.
That totally creeped me out so I kind of stood there looking at Them, They were looking at me & all 3 were pointing at the sarcophagus. I finally climbed in & then They were suddenly around me. Isis was at my right shoulder, Anubis at my head & Osiris was at my feet. Then I heard some hydraulic (or so I assume) gears kick into motion. The base of the sarcophagus rose up until it became flush with the sides and turned into a table. I laid there while the gods gave me a healing. At the end, Isis placed her right hand on my heart & leaning over me She said, and this I will never forget, ” you are mine in all Space and in all Time. Your spiritual name is Nefer Khepri, oh Beautiful One of the Rising Sun. Put your name to good use.” Then I woke up while my colleague was freaked out because the energy in the healing room had gotten so high.
That, in a nutshell, is how I was given my spiritual name.
